Popular island trips include a full day Catamaran trip sailing along the North Coast, going out for the deep sea passing by le “Coin de Mire”, where you can do some great snorkelling and see the well-known “Trou Madame” and then go to the “Ilot Gabriel” where your skipper and his team will set up a lobster feast… It is highly recommended to book in advance.

• The Beaches
Trou-aux-Biches Public Beach is a few meters away from the apartment. This is a magical place where our guests can relax and leave the pressures of home behind with no constraints…

Pointe aux Piments: you will love a walk along the magnificent white sand beach, while appreciating the amazing view that offers this bay.

Mont Choisi: this is the longest beach of the island. Very popular for its beauty it attracts a lot of tourists. This beach is perfect for a walk or jogging in the early morning or in the afternoon. It is a nice way to combine a good sport to a peaceful moment with this astonishing nature.

La Cuvette: it is relatively small but this, rather than detracting from its charm, actually increases it. The expansive crystal clear waters of the warm turquoise lagoon offset the comparatively small stretch of sort, golden sand.

Pereybere offers deep and clear blue waters. It is one of the most popular beaches among young people. Ideal for children with the water activities right on the beach (kayak, tube, …)

Back to basic’s… Children can buy fishing nets and rods at the nearby tackle store and enjoy rock fishing right in front of the apartment. For more experienced fisherman, use one of the fishing kayak to venture out of the reef. There is also the possibility of booking a deep-sea fishing trip with our nearby charter partners.

A five star resort wrapped up in the comforts of home

A search via reservations.mu/tripter and the kind assistance of representative Daggett Harvey led myself and my group of coworker friends to apartment A1 at Plage Bleue. This was exactly what we were looking for following our week of work inland at cyber city and the swamminvivikananda convention center. As event production professionals we stay in hotels all the time and we were looking for a more spacious and home like environment for our holiday. Plage Bleue exceeded our expectations. The staff is excellent as led by Andy Ah Youne. The accommodations are first class all the way - clean comfortable and well appointed. The appliances are first rate - including a washer/dryer which was a huge bonus for us. The 3-bedroom, 2 and 1/2 bath was the perfect size and the immediate access to beach and pool out the patio was ideal. A short walk to local markets and restaurants - larger grocery available via taxi or car. Nicely removed from the hustle of Grand Baie but close enough for dinners out, shopping etc. our favorite times were spent on the patio or lounging on the beach with a cocktail. Take advantage of the staff offer for a homemade curry meal delivered to your door - additional charge. This was probably my favorite meal during my stay - beware the portions are very generous so perhaps count fewer people that will be eating! The beach directly in front of the resort does not permit swimming due to the rocks but a lovely and tranquil beach is only a few steps away at the adjacent hotel. You can also enjoy drinks or food here due to an arrangement with the property and Plage Bleue. Plage Bleue is a five star resort wrapped in the comforts of home. There are few places that demand a return visit - this is one. Well done Plage Bleue and thank you for a perfect holiday.

Perfect private accommodation near great beaches

We were looking for a self catering option as close to the beach as possible and one that gave us privacy and independence on our holiday. Plage Bleue met these expectations perfectly. We stayed for 11 days in the upper level 'penthouse'. The apartments are extremely well equipped - the best we have come across - very spacious and kept very clean, being serviced 6 days a week. Anne-Sophie is friendly, welcoming and anxious to make your stay as pleasant as possible, and the rest of the staff are also very friendly and unassuming. We loved the pool - a great centrepiece - and spent more time relaxing on the comfortable loungers than we would have expected. Plage Bleue was very quiet and peaceful in general and we felt the other guests had chosen the resort for the same reasons that we had. We knew swimming was not possible in the sea directly in front of Plage Bleue, but there is a small lagoon for swimming just next door and it is an easy enough walk to Trou aux Biches or about an hour to Mont Choisy beach if you are feeling energetic. We hired a car for the duration of our trip which meant we could explore the island and get to whichever beach we felt like going to each day. Highly recommend swimming with the dolphins in Tamarin Bay - the memory of a lifetime. Some great snorkelling directly off Trou aux Biches beach, and good swimming at Mont Choisy, and tubing at both beaches. Some good running along the beaches. We were a little surprised at being 'curfewed' by the swimming buoys along the beach front but this is really to protect swimmers from the speedboats etc so don't be put off swimming out further when it's quiet...or else find 'non curfewed' spots. Lots of options for eating out, or enjoy a home cooked meal by the Horizon staff at Plage Bleue. Only one temporary problem - loud and noisy music and smoke from cooking fires at the property next door (wedding festivities), which problem the staff dealt with well, but we hope they can come up with a long term solution.

Perfect apartments in a nearly perfect location

We chose these apartments as we wanted to do our own thing, eat when and where we wanted, and avoid a large hotel complex, and these apartments fit the bill perfectly. A welcome pack was provided of fruit, cereal, water, coffee etc. which was appreciated late on a Sunday night! Ann-Sophie was on hand daily, always with a smile, asking if we were ok and always helpful with all our requests. We stayed for 10days and completely relaxed. There was a handful of other guests in other apartments but most of the time we had the pool area and loungers to ourselves which was great! We loved the view from the balcony, with a bit of people watching thrown in as people walked past (slowly so they could have a look in at the complex!) The apartments are immaculate, thanks to the army of cleaners who do a very thorough job 6days, even asking what time would you like them to come - allowing for a daily lie in :) We highly recommend the 'cooked in house' curry service - we wish we'd done it earlier than on our last night as it was fantastic. Apartments are equipped with everything you need for cooking, the bbq and utensils, plastic plates etc for the pool/beach - you name it. Also satellite tv, DVD player, iPod dock...fantastic. So what's the downside?? The apartments are at the far end of Trou aux Biches - a good 20min walk to the small but well stocked supermarket, and 30min to the main (lovely long and golden) beach at Trou aux Biches, mostly along the road. We thought that would be fine for us as we tend to walk to most places at home - of course, the difference being the Mauritian heat made it feel a lot further! We also thought we'd enjoy a wander along the beach daily, but it was a bit rough and ready with stones, scrub and flotsam along it. We did hire a car a couple of days and stocked up our cupboards (and also toured the island). We did consider hiring taxis but quotes of about £25each way to Grand Baie were a bit more expensive than we had anticipated. Thankfully the great '1974' restaurant was a 15-20min walk away for a lovely evening meal out. We also ate at the hotel next door on the first night as very little else was open being Sunday and it was an easy option when you haven't got your bearings - be warned, it's not cheap and buffet only on Sunday so works out very expensive when you just want a small meal before bed! Also the bit of beach the apartments are on is just not that great. There is a lagoon area around the corner but that's about it unless you walk round/bus to the main beach. Thankfully as the pool area was mostly ours (!) we didn't miss it too much, and did walk along to the beach a couple of times to snorkel. So in a nutshell, the accommodation is fantastic with a great pool, but a rather average bit of beach - but if it were on the perfect beach it would no doubt be twice the price!

Fantastic and enjoyable stay

We spent a week at the apartment with our three young children aged between 3 and 7. The apartment was clean, well-equipped and very well maintained. Our children loved it. The pool was excellent and very clean. The staff were very kind and welcoming. We loved it so much that we wanted to extend our stay. We've stayed in apartments and hotels all over the world but this one was really special. It felt so homely...perfect for the family. The location on the beach, the pool, the facilities inside such as the washer/dryer, well-stocked kitchen and spacious bathrooms really made our holiday outstanding. We won't hesitate to stay there again and in fact highly recommend the premium apartments.

Excellent - Highly Recommended

Upmarket and clean accommodation. The apartments are serviced daily by their very friendly staff who go out of their way to make you comfortable and feel at home. The sea views are outstanding from all the apartments but I would recommend that you take a ground floor apartment if you have children so that you have easier access to the pool and the beach. The beach is not for swimming but a two minute walk and you can swim at the hotel beach next door. No restaurants in the area so need a car so that you can get to them or to buy groceries from the closest supermarket which is about 2km away.

Perfect!

We stayed here in a 3 bedroom apartment for 9 days during new year and cyclone Dumile. There simply is nothing what so ever to fault with these apartments, nothing has been left to chance and no expense spared on the quality of the appliances, bed linen and furniture. The apartment was spotless, the service amazing! The kitchen had every imaginable utensil, crockery etc, I'd you thought that you needed something, all you do is open a draw and it is there. Definitely the best equipped apartment we have ever stayed in. The webber BBQ on our balcony was a huge plus and something we used on a regular basis. I would not stay anywhere else in Mauritius.

A perfect place to relax and enjoy

Super apartment - immaculately clean and and thoughtfully furnished with every possible requirement. The pool is of an excellent design which allows plenty of space to get some real exercise, and the shallow section is ideal for children. Staff were most helpful, especially Nicolas who was most helpful indeed on our arrival
